ABSTRACT SUBMISSION

Abstracts are submitted online as “ORAL” or “E-POSTER”. Turkish and English abstracts should be sent to https://forms.gle/nMZm5mV2tnhbBrYMA. Abstracts sent by postal service, fax, e-mail etc. will not be taken into consideration.

Papers should not be published and/or presented on any scientific platform before.

While submitting the abstracts, the presentation preference (oral presentation) must be stated.

A participant can send 2 abstracts at most.

Since the congress registrations are made for a person, it does not include the other names of the submitted abstract.

For oral presentations, full texts can be written in Turkish or pages in English. Full texts should be written at least 3 page.

Each abstract/full text should contain: introduction, materials and methods, results and conclusions.

Keywords - provide up to 5 keywords, with at least 3 selected via the Index Medicus Medical Subject Headings (MeSH) browser list: http://www.nlm.nih.gov/mesh/authors.html. These keywords should not reproduce words used in the paper title.

The name, surname, the institution and the city of the author of the abstract must be stated in relevant sections. Academic titles must not be utilized with names.

Standard abbreviations are accepted. At first mention, it should be given in parenthesis then it can be used by itself.

Since the summaries sent through online abstract submission module will be converted into digital books, the participants must pay attention to misspellings. The authors will be considered responsible from their misspelling.

The duration of oral presentations must not exceed 15 minutes(10 minutes presentation, 5 minutes discussion).

Accepted E-Poster Presentations will be presented as DIGITAL from the plasmas during the congress.

The Scientific Committee may decide to accept, change, accept after revision or reject the abstract and share the reasons for this decision with the authors.

Preparation of Abstract

The abstract should not exceed 300 words excluding title, authors, and affiliations, respectively.

  • Font: Times New Roman, 12pt.
  • Page Margins:  Left: 2.5 cm;  Right 2.5 cm;  Top 2.5 cm; Bottom 2.5 cm
  • Text should be aligned to both sides.
  • References should be listed at the end of the text, not in the text.
  • Abstracts or full texts are required to be written as English

 

Preparation of Full text

- Microsoft Word is the preferred software program. Use Times New Roman font, size twelve (12) point.

- Manuscript is one-and-a-half line spacing throughout (including abstract, text, references, tables, and legends). 

- Margins are 1 inch or 2.5 cm all around

- Number the pages consecutively, beginning with the title page as page 1 .

- All headings (including the Title) should be in sentence-case only, not in capital letters.

- Sub-headings are generally not accepted. Incorporate into the text if required. 

- Footnotes are not acceptable.

- Full text should contain: introduction, materials and methods, results and conclusions.

- Keep the use of tables, figures and graphs to a minimum.

-Reference numbers should be given in the text at the end of the sentence in parentheses, and at the end of the manuscript, they should be numbered consecutively in the order in which they are mentioned in the text. Journal names should be abbreviated as listed in “Index Medicus” or “Tübitak/Ulakbim TR Index.” References should be written in accordance with following examples:

Book: First letters of names and surnames of the authors. Book title. Number of edition. City of publication: Publisher, Year of Publication.

Example: Ropper AH, Brown RH. Principles of Neurology. 8th ed. New York: McGraw-Hill, 2005.

Journal Articles: First letters of names and surnames of the authors (All authors should be written). Title of article. Abbreviated title of the journal according to Index Medicus (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/sites/entrez/query.fcgi?db=nlmcatalog). Year of publication; Volume: first-page number-Last page number.

Example: Wertman E, Zilber N, Abramsky O. An association between MS and type 1 diabetes mellitus. J Neurol 1992;239:43-45.

Congress presentation: First letters of surnames and names of the authors (all authors should be written). Manuscript title. In: First letters of surnames and names of the authors (eds). Book title. Name of the meeting; City where the meeting took place, country where the meeting took place. Publisher; Year. Page number.

Example: Bengtsson S, Solheim BG. Enforcement of data protection, privacy, and security in medical informatics. In: Lun KC, Degoulet P, Piemme TE, Reinhoff O (eds). MEDINFO 92. Website: The name of the website. Access date. Available from: Address of the Web site.

Example: World Health Organization (WHO). Access Date: 9 July 2008. Available from: http://www.who.int

- Maximum number of references is 40

Posters

           a. Dimensions should not exceed 650 mm (width)  and 900 mm (height).

            b. Fonts should be Times New Roman, Arial, Verdana and Georgia.

            c. Title 40 point size and bold, the authors’ names 20 point size, text at least 20 point size.

            d. A bibliography is necessary at the end of the text.
